More adventures in London...
Hello Papercutters!
Sorry it’s been so long since we’ve last written; the past few days have been quite a whirlwind! When we last spoke we had just started our first day of meetings. Since then there’s been many more, plus an editorial shoot we did right at home in our flat!
Our shoot actually started out in danger of evening happening after a few bumps in the road and cancellations. In the end, however, everything came through and the shoot went AMAZINGLY well! We couldn’t have asked for a better team. Photographer Emily Byrom worked her magic with the camera with Magdalena Tucholska on hair, Hila Karmand on makeup and Jade Mezard of Elite Models London as our gorgeous subject modeling an amazing wardrobe by designer Ekaterina Kukhareva.

I don’t want to give too much away about the shoot, but I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed and to keep an eye out for it in our November issue! It feels like forever to wait, but I’m sure it will be here before you know it.
After our shoot we rushed back over to Soho to return the wardrobe to Ekaterina’s PR agency, BLOW. We weren’t as lucky with the weather as the previous few days and had to trudge through rush hour and the pouring rain, but luckily the sunshine quickly returned. We grabbed some tapas for dinner with a friend and model David Ratcliffe of our January “On the Verge” models feature. He had us laughing instantly. We decided to keep the laughter going and after the meeting was over we headed off to our local cinema and caught a late showing of the Hangover II. Unfortunately (we must confess) it wasn’t as funny as we hoped.

Today has been more of a fun day with shopping and exploration of Covent Garden. We met up with our new friend and June issue photographer Josh Carroll. He took us for some delicious crepes and showed us around the area a bit. He’s a fun tour guide! And, our fabulous editor-in-chief is celebrating her birthday today, so we’ve decided to take some time off from work and meetings and enjoy ourselves while we still have a little time left!
With that said, it’s time for me to sign off. Until next time!
xoxo
Nicole
