CALL OF THE WILD: A call for April issue submissions

It’s that time again! We are now accepting submissions for our upcoming April editorials-only issue…and this time, we want you to walk on the wild side with these three concepts:

ANIMAL INSTINCTS
Get in touch with your inner animal – literally or figuratively speaking. From leopard prints to animal spirits, we want you to heed the call of the wild.

NATURAL DISASTERS
Tornadoes, tsunamis, and earthquakes, oh my. There’s nothing wilder than nature itself.

APOCALYPSE NOW
Well, the infamous 2012 is upon us. How do you envision our post-apocalyptic world?

THE RULES
-- This is open to all photographers and creative teams.
-- Must be a new and/or unpublished editorial.
-- Must contain wardrobe and/or accessories from emerging or independent designers/brands ONLY.
-- Nudity is allowed, however must be implemented tastefully.
-- PLEASE make sure to check our submission requirements before submitting.
-- Last but not least... HAVE FUN!!!

Judging from the success of our past open calls, we are sure to receive a multitude of submissions, so unfortunately there is no guarantee that your shoot will make into the magazine in its entirety (we may just choose one photo) or that it will make it in at all. We will only be including our absolute favorite of the bunch, so bring your “A” game.

Also, we are asking this time around that creative teams create and submit video coverage from their shoot so that we can post as part of Papercut TV. Even a 30 second glimpse will do, so please include footage if you can.

DEADLINE INFORMATION
All submissions are due to us at info@papercutmag.com by Sunday April 1, 2012 at midnight US EST (NO EXCEPTIONS) and all accepted work will be notified within a week of the deadline closing.

SUBMISSION CONFIRMATION
All submissions will receive an email confirmation to ensure that we have received your work. Please note that this is NOT an auto-reply, so it may take a few hours for us to confirm.

If it takes more than 24 hours, however, there is a chance we may have not received your email, so please follow up at info@papercutmag.com.

xoxo
