Editor's Picks: Watch The Duck Ft. Dragon House Crew

I hate it when people, usually older than I, say something like "Music just ain't the same as it used to be!" And to that I say. "So fucking what." I haven't been this excited about music since listening to Michael Jackson. What a lot of people don't understand about MJ's music and why it was so fresh and new is because he was genre agnostic and his real genius was fusing together the most popular genres at the time, soul, rock, disco, pop, Motown, and classical composition (gotta love Quincy Jones), to give us stuff we've never heard before.

This is the same reason my new favorite group is Watch The Duck, they're doing something I've never heard before. They are fusing Funk, Soul, RnB, and Dubstep together to give us something new. And I like it. In their title track, Popping Off featured above, it's like Jimi Hendrix and Skrillex got together and had a jam session.

If that isn't enough, this is one of the sickest videos ever, featuring the Dragon House crew. You may have seen one their members on SYTYCD recently, Cyrus. The music and dancing in this track are phenomenal.

The next time someone says music isn't the same anymore, I will point them to this video and add, "Thank Goodness."
