In the past, one could safely spend the big bucks on a designer piece with confidence that it would pass the test of time. The fashion industry is now swapping fashion trends for newer ones almost every week. The desire to spend so much on clothing or accessories has diminished in a world filled with fast fashion. Now, we can buy cheaper and more disposable items that will be missed less when a new trend pops up the next month. So, how then, can high end designers survive this kind of a new environment? Through the fast-paced, social media run world we now deem to be normal, the fashion industry must make some adjustments.

The wait is finally over! The September issue launched and it’s music to our ears!

October is the month that all the proverbial freaks come out of the closet to partaaay! Yes, Halloween is rearing it’s monstrous head again (in a fun way!) and all the good, the bad and the ugly come together to celebrate.

The great thing about taking a picture is that each image captured has a unique story to tell. With the theme “Tall Tales” it would only make sense for us to call upon the photog-phenom Lara Jade to help curate our August issue of amazing fashion stories by equally amazing photographers.

This months issue is not only visually stimulating but it also transports you into the photographers’ conceptualized world, which makes for one truly adventurous experience.

Recently, Alvin Stillwell, our friend and the stylist of our July Issue cover, sent me a link to 31bits.com. He wanted me to check it out since some of the pieces he used in the cover were made by them. I was excited take a gander at the gorgeous jewelry, but what I got from their website was so much more.

It’s officially summer and we’re kicking it off with a hot new issue that will have you melting!

Summer is a season when we tend to let go of our ambitions and focus on enjoying what we have in front of us. For this issue, we embrace this summer feeling and get straight to the point: no theme, no guidelines, just fun. Hence, “hit us with your best shot”.
